Your day to day activities
As Technical Software Engineer on our team, you will be working on international IT, Navigation, Security, Earth Observation and Satellite Communication projects. You will be participating in the design and development of technical complex projects. You also will be performing unit tests on developed components and lead other tests according to the team methods and procedures. You participate in planning tasks and you support the team leaders in the coordination of activities.

Things you need to be successful
You are keen to contribute to our Space projects and bids within our Netherlands Space Unit. You have stong analytical and development skills. You also have excellent communication skills and you keep up to date on the latest trends and developments in the industry. You also have:
• A Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Information Technology/Communications or   equivalent;
• Experience with Java, C# or C++;
• An ability to quickly translate and navigate through new code from different development
  styles;
• Galileo program knowledge is desirable.

A EU Personal Security Clearance at the level of CONFIDENTIAL and above is part of the selection procedure.

Your working environment
With almost 40 years in the industry, CGI Space is a growing business with exciting projects and prospects across the Navigation, Security, Earth Observation and Satcoms domains. We currently have around 500 members working on projects in the UK, Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands. You will get the opportunity to work for Galileo. Galileo is Europe’s own global satellite system and currently consists of a constellation of 22 satellites. It is capable of providing a highly accurate, guaranteed global positioning service under civilian control. The system is still under development and has recently entered the Exploitation Phase. Our team is responsible for the development of the Key Management Facility of the Galileo Mission Segment.
